The Situation: M Street Madness Edition: Presented by The Usual Suspectz and The Collective. Cooking Class & Wine Brunch With Chef Giusti: Join 1789’s monthly cooking class to work with Chef Giusti and learn to cook traditional Easter brunch favorites. Guests will learn to prepare fresh ham, leg of lamb and a selection of egg dishes. Pastry Chef Travis Olson will also be on hand to demonstrate techniques for making hot cross buns and homemade biscuits. Pork Cooking Class: Chef de Cuisine Victor Albisu leads an interactive class featuring the different uses and techniques for preparing pork. Albisu combines his own knowledge of Cuban and Peruvian preparations with the classic French techniques of Executive Chef and BLT Restaurant Group Partner Laurent Tourondel to showcase a diverse range of pork dishes. In addition to receiving recipes and tip sheets reviewed in the class, guests will enjoy a four-course lunch with complimentary signature cocktail and BLT’s renowned popovers after the class/lesson. 12:30-3pm at BLT Steak (1625 I St NW).
